A Service for those who find Christmas hard

The Magor Ministry Area is holding a quieter, more reflective service of carols and readings for those for whom this Christmas will be difficult.

Dubbed ‘A Quieter Christmas’ the service is aimed at providing space, in amongst the busy-ness and joy of the season, for those whose loved ones have died, whether over the past year, or longer ago, and those who struggle with this time of year for other reasons.

There will be carols, readings from scripture and prayer in a more reflective atmosphere, with the opportunity to light a candle as part of the service in memory of a loved one.

The service is being held in St Mary’s Church, Magor on Sunday 12th December at 4pm.

All are welcome and there is no need to book ahead for this service. We do ask that, in accordance with current regulations, you bring a mask with you to wear throughout the service. Whilst distancing isn’t being enforced, there is space on the left hand aisle of the church for those who want to be socially distanced from others.
