This Holy Week and Easter whilst we are unable to gather together physically we can still gather virtually and in spirit.
Over the course of the week we will be using a mixture of Zoom, pre-recorded videos and livestreams. However for all of them we encourage you to gather with us to worship together at the same time if you can (they will all be available on demand afterwards if you’re not free at the advertised time).
The relevant orders of service can be found on our Praying at Home page.
So whether you usually join us on a Sunday but have never joined us for Holy Week, are a Holy Week regular or completely new to the whole thing, we’d love you to join us as we follow Jesus to the cross, and rejoice at his resurrection.
Holy Eucharist: 10am
We begin Holy Week on a high, remembering Jesus entry into Jerusalem among excited crowds cheering and waving palm branches.
We’ll be having a watch party on Youtube here at 10: https://youtu.be/gxd26FbUksA
The video will be available immediately after.
If you have a palm cross from previous years have it to hand, if you don’t or would like a new one you can follow these easy instructions to make your own:
Monday – Wednesday
Morning Prayer: 10am
We will be gathering on Zoom for Morning Prayer. The meeting will be open from 9.55 for a prompt start at 10.
To join us go to: www.zoom.uk/join and then type in the meeting code. For that code please contact us either via Facebook or on email.
7 Actions of Jesus: 7pm
We will be reflecting together on Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, the Last Supper, with a series of readings and reflections revolving around 7 actions of Jesus during this meal.
This will be pre-recorded but we will be having a watch party when it goes live at 7pm https://youtu.be/qd-E59yllrE.
Do join us live if you’re able. The video will be available on demand afterwards.
Stations of the Cross: 10am
Reflecting together on the Scriptural Stations which pick up where we left off last night, with Jesus praying in the garden, and follow him to the tomb.
With readings, prayer, reflections and art there should be something to help all of us engage with the events of today.
This will also be pre-recorded and we will be having a watch party at 10 when the video goes live here: https://youtu.be/0X_oUxFSrG0
Again if you’re unable to join us at 10 the video will be available afterwards.
The service of vigil and light: 8pm
We gather around the fire live on YouTube from 8pm to hear of God’s saving works throughout history, and to rejoice that Christ is risen.
Holy Eucharist: 10am
Alleluia Christ is risen! We will be live on Facebook at 10 with a Eucharist for Easter Day, rejoicing that Christ is risen from the dead, and that we now share His risen life.
